Kyoto no oto is an album of field recordings and ambient synths, offering a loving jaunt through the former capital city of Japan.
While on a family trip, WabiSabi captures the audible essence of Kyoto, from tranquil shrines and Heian bells to the warm hum of summer cicadas.
Field recordings and samples sent through a 1010 Lemondrop granular synthesizer and MenQi Wingie2 resonating synthesizer. All recorded in Kyoto, Japan July-August 2023.
