Registration is now open for Thursday, December 19th from 6-9PM PST on Eventbrite below.
There is a small fee for the limited workshop supplied Klangoriums, but open registration is free to watch, help, hang out, and have fun! Eli Pechman from https://www.mysticcircuits.com/ will be in attendance and has graciously offered to give a small performance.
The event is hosted at the Supplyframe Designlab in Pasadena. More details below!
What is this about, and what's a Klangorium?
Embarking on this sonic adventure, I confess—I’m no electronics engineer, far from an expert. Together, we're setting out on a journey to demystify and explore the realm of logic noise, a frontier where music meets the raw pulse of electronic circuits. Logic noise, in essence, is about harnessing the unpredictable and often overlooked behaviors of digital logic chips to create sound. It's where the binary world of electronics collides with the boundless possibilities of musical creativity. As we venture through each chapter, our collective curiosity will be our guide, unraveling the symphony hidden within circuits, learning and experimenting side by side.
The Klangorium project builds upon the concepts introduced in the "Logic Noise" series on Hackaday, a collection of articles and tutorials that explore the potential of simple digital logic circuits for generating complex sounds. Created by Elliot Williams, "Logic Noise" serves as an inspiration for those interested in the intersection of DIY electronics and music creation, showcasing how basic components can be used in innovative ways to produce audio signals.
