Charity Redding

Charity Redding (formerly known as Bubblewrappe) is a DJ and producer who emerged from the '90s Nebraska rave scene with a passion for blending global sounds into her sets. Now based in Los Angeles, she has crafted a unique sonic identity that explores themes of femininity, desire, hope, and love through deep electronic soundscapes.

Her latest release, the "Reunion" EP on Up Stars Records (2025), showcases her ability to weave international influences into her productions. The title track pays tribute to the East African island of Reunion with Creole heritage and hypnotic rhythms, while "Lunye," a collaboration with South African artist Sontshikazi, features vocals in IsiZulu and delivers an uplifting message of resilience through driving beats and soulful elements.

Charity's personal journey, including overcoming significant challenges such as the path to sobriety, has deepened her commitment to building a supportive and inclusive artistic community. Her evolution from the underground Midwest rave scene to the vibrant LA electronic music landscape reflects both her resilience and her dedication to creating music that connects cultures and experiences through the universal language of electronic dance music.
