DjRUM

Felix Manuel, known professionally as DjRUM (pronounced "drum"), is a British electronic music producer and DJ acclaimed for his genre-defying compositions and innovative turntablism. Emerging in the early 2010s, DjRUM quickly garnered attention for his ability to seamlessly blend elements of techno, jungle, jazz, classical, ambient, and hip-hop into cohesive, emotive soundscapes.

A classically trained pianist, Manuel often incorporates live instrumentation into his productions, adding depth and organic texture to his electronic works. His debut album, Seven Lies (2013), showcased his intricate layering and cinematic approach to music. This was followed by Portrait With Firewood (2018), an album noted for its introspective tone and the integration of live cello and piano, reflecting his evolving artistry.

In 2025, DjRUM released Under Tangled Silence, a project born from the adversity of losing previous recordings during the COVID-19 lockdown. Rebuilding from scratch, the album stands as a testament to his resilience and creative rebirth, intertwining minimalist piano pieces with complex electronic rhythms.

Beyond his studio work, DjRUM is renowned for his dynamic live performances, often utilizing three turntables to craft sets that traverse a broad spectrum of tempos and moods, captivating audiences with their unpredictability and emotional depth.
