Sometimes, similarities bring people together, but it's their differences that create something extraordinary. This dynamic perfectly describes the partnership of Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix, better known as Pan-Pot.

Meeting at Berlin’s prestigious SAE Institute, Tassilo and Thomas quickly bonded as the only students deeply committed to the sound and spirit of techno. From their earliest collaborations, Pan-Pot fused electronic experimentation with minimalistic precision, crafting a signature sound characterized by dark, driving, and immersive grooves. Early releases on labels like Mobilee and Einmaleins established their meticulous approach, earning them respect across the techno landscape.

Pan-Pot's breakthrough came in 2007 with their acclaimed debut album, Pan-O-Rama. True to its name, the record presented a panoramic vision of techno, effortlessly balancing peak-time club anthems with deep, atmospheric textures. Tracks such as "Charly," and later hits like "Confronted" and "Captain My Captain," showcased their bold, timeless production style and solidified their reputation as leaders in the electronic music scene.

Beyond their studio accomplishments, Pan-Pot’s global reputation is built upon their captivating live performances. Their relentless touring schedule has seen them electrify dance floors from intimate clubs to major festivals including Awakenings, Timewarp, and Creamfields. With an intuitive ability to read and energize any crowd, Pan-Pot seamlessly traverse the worlds of techno, house, and beyond.

The duo's creative vision continues to evolve with the launch of their label, Second State. More than just a platform for their own releases, Second State fosters a collective of innovative artists who share their passion and drive. Through music, events, art, and fashion, Pan-Pot and Second State are cultivating an expansive community with limitless creative potential.

Today, Pan-Pot stands at the forefront of electronic music—not just as prolific artists and dynamic performers, but as visionary leaders shaping their own destiny and the future of techno.
