RIŽIK

RIŽIK

RIŽIK is the Los Angeles-based artist, composer, and performer Hisham Dahud, blending electronic production, live instrumentation, and cinematic storytelling.

Drawing from atmospheric electronica, techno, film scoring, and improvisation, RIŽIK moves between electronic composition, piano, live drumming, and hardware-based performance. Live musicianship remains central to his work.

Whether surrounded by electronic instruments, behind a drum kit, or at the piano, Dahud brings a musician’s physicality to electronic music — treating technology as something to be played rather than simply programmed.

That philosophy finds its fullest expression in his TAME THE MACHINE show, a live format built around real-time electronic performance. Using synthesizers, drum machines, and signal processors with no backing tracks, RIŽIK builds and reshapes music in the moment. In 2026, the concept expanded into a concert film captured during a 90-minute headline performance in Los Angeles.

In 2026, Dahud also launched M/O/R/E — Musicianship, Originality, Risk, Evolution — an event series championing musicianship, experimentation, and human expression in electronic music while cultivating LA’s live electronic performance community.

Before launching RIŽIK, Dahud spent more than a decade behind the scenes working with artists including Richie HawtinDJ Shadow, and film composer Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL).
