Trovarsi is an LA based music composer/producer, live electronic artist, educator, and streaming YouTube host. Over the past decade, Trovarsi has released her music on a wide variety of notable electronic music labels. Her work transcends genres, cultures, and boundaries, yet also authentically and reverentially embraces many creative traditions. With a hybrid blend of modular and analogue synthesizers, drum machines and Ableton, Trovarsi embraces Afrofuturistic electronic expression while remaining firmly planted by her musical roots.
Jelani is among the new wave of Los Angeles producers inspired by warehouse techno and electronic grooves. For over a decade, the Jelani has been performing in nightclubs and raves starting at DC’s U Street Music Hall once he turned 18. Jelani has been recently submerged in the analog recording universe using his eurorack system and dub style console mixing to combine the past, present, and future through his music.
E.M.Bae is a genre-bending DJ/producer and live hardware artist, spinning across Los Angeles, Orange County, Long Beach, Sedona and Bristol, UK. With roots in House and Techno, her sounds often branch into minimal/deep tech, ghetto tech and hard groove — always with an ear for movement and a mind for mood. Whether it's curating intimate vibes in a sweaty warehouse or chilled-out lounge, E.M.Bae delivers driving rhythms and underground energy that keeps dance floors locked in.
We’re bringing Detroit to LA with the power of Black Techno Music for LIBERATE, Hood Rave’s Juneteenth event in collaboration with @blacktechnomatters in Los Angeles ✊🏾 Bringing the feeling of Movement from Detroit to LA with the legendary Waajeed (@waajeed) from Detroit’s own Underground Music Academy.
Featuring live techno sets by Trovarsi (@trovarsiofficial) and 92Jelani (@92jelani) who will also be leading techno music and gear workshops for ticketholders before the show, with a Q&A with Waajeed at 8:30pm. Rounding out the lineup is Hood Rave’s newest member E.M. Bae (@yamzeverywhere) and talented multi hyphenate Rivussy (@rivussy).
The artwork is designed by the one and only Abdul Haqq (@abuqadim). Haqq is known for contributing the art for Detroit innovators like Drexciya and Underground Resistance. With this image we emphasize, in the words of the late Assata Shakur, “We have nothing to lose but our chains!”
