Joey Beltram—born in Queens in 1971—shot onto the techno map with 1990’s “Energy Flash” and, a year later, “Mentasm,” co‑produced with Mundo Muzique under the Second Phase alias. The latter track spawned the infamous “hoover” (or “mentasm”) riff: a snarling synth tone that spread from Belgian rave floors to hardcore, drum‑and‑bass, and countless other scenes. By the time Daft Punk name‑checked him on “Teachers” (1997), critics were already calling him a two‑time revolutionary; writer Simon Reynolds argued Beltram had reshaped techno twice before he was twenty‑one.

Chicago’s Mina Mills is a vinyl purist who’s set at her first appearance blew us away and we’re honored to have her back on the 1’s and 2’s.

Dj & Producer // TX
San Francisco-based Vertigo captivates crowds with her dissonant and syncopated cuts, creating genre-bending sets with a distinctly punchy and aggressive style of mixing. The Vitamin1000 resident delivers an eclectic blend of glitchy textures, dub-inspired melodies, and gritty bass lines, immersing listeners in a world where soundscapes mutate in real-time across polyrhythmic and texture-heavy selections. She is also one part of duo CYBER1A alongside bad juuju, a project exploring the heavy range of bass, breaks, electro, and techno.
DOMAIN returns for the next summoning...
We welcome a true architect of the underground: Joey Beltram, a name etched into the foundation of techno. From his iconic tracks like Energy Flash, to his work on esteemed labels Tresor and R&S, Beltram’s fingerprints are all over the genre. Joey's work is unmatched, traveling to clubs and festivals around the globe for just over 30 years spreading the word of the underground.
Joining for her second DOMAIN appearance is Mina Mills, a vinyl purist whose sets blend tension, texture, and rhythm with surgical precision. From jackin' rhythms to hypnotic leanings, her sets are unforgettable journeys into sound. If you were there for her first DOMAIN appearance, you know what we mean.
Rounding out the front room, Austin-based Point Reyes plays with weight. His most recent project, "Southern Technique" out on Freq System hits all the notes for driving, tribalistic techno - dance floor hammers with a Texas flair. The ethos makes its way into his sets as well, pounding grooves straight to the core.
A very special set is in store for local SF favorite, Vertigo - a 4 hour journey in the back room of F8. Class in every genre she touches - we're excited for a long-form exhibit of three deck mixing across Techno, Electro and Left-Field sounds.
Expect pressure. Expect movement.
Nothing more, nothing less.
