In this episode of Patch Dispatch, we delve into the release of Pittsburgh Modular's exciting new Snakes sequencer. This 8hp dual 16-step gate sequencer is designed to work seamlessly with Pittsburgh Modular drum modules or any other Eurorack modules that utilize gate signals. The Snakes sequencer features two independent 16-step sequencers with capabilities like mute, reset, clock division, per step chance, Euclidean pattern generators, and per step ratcheting. These sequences can share a tap tempo clock or an external clock source, and can be chained together to create a 32-step sequencer. We explore its user interface, functionalities, and the creative potential it offers.
We also discuss the latest album releases, including the new EP from Borderlands Collective and the 40th-anniversary album from Audio Terrorist. These releases showcase innovative sounds and collaborations from some of the most exciting artists in the electronic music scene.
Additionally, we provide updates on upcoming shows, including the highly anticipated Piqued 5th Anniversary Show at Mission Synths in San Francisco. This event will feature live performances and demonstrations from talented artists and developers in the modular synth community.
