electric.kitchen is an electronic music project focusing on timbre and rhythm. Most works are conceived for live improvisational performance, aiming to take the audience on a journey rather than stick to a genre.
Project leader Mark Lentczner works with a wide range of electronics from analog synths, to digital samplers, controllers, and computers with his own software. Co-founder Paul Buser will return to the project for the Summer 2019 tour bringing his fusion of harmonic and timbral ideas on keyboard.
Collaboration and improvisation is a large part of the project's work. Musicians with drones, keyboards, processed vocals, bass robots, and Tesla coils have all been part of prior works.
