
Umee Dee
Umee Dee is a DJ and producer whose eclectic style spans deep house, techno, tech house, and ambient music. With roots from ancient India, birth in Africa, then schooling in the UK, Umee Dee's music journey is just as exotic, beginning at age 12 when she discovered ambient electronica. Now DJ-ing since 2014, she has performed at numerous Burning Man events, including an ambient meditative set for the Journey Project via the Robot Heart art car, and has played support for notable acts like Pan-Pot at Public Works in San Francisco. In 2022, Umee ventured into her first European gigs including ambient set ADE2022 Vrij Palais art collective and house/techno set at the JK Kaffeestube club (Disco Babel) in Berlin, Germany. She's also a regular participant in Mioli record label events and released her first original track on their 9-year anniversary compilation. Her diverse influences range from Berghain's industrial techno to organic melodic house and psychedelic disco, and she even programs ultra-ambient music for ketamine therapy clients.
