WabiSabi
WabiSabi is an ambient electronic solo project rooted in Seattle, Washington. With music that mirrors the city’s frequent rain, WabiSabi fuses textured synth landscapes and field recordings to evoke the feels of quiet drizzle, thunderous downpours, and reflective urban nights.
Their album Rain, released on July 28, 2024, features six immersive tracks—titles like “in the Bowels of the City” and “with the Thunder’s Glow” suggest deep sonic explorations into atmosphere and mood wabisabi.bandcamp.com. The project also includes earlier works like Between Stations, Terra 1 (March 2025), and Sheep of San Miguel (August 2024).
In live settings, WabiSabi (also known as DB Pawlan) has participated in events such as the 2022 Wayward Music Series in Seattle, performing alongside experimental electronic artists and exploring Japanese-inspired aesthetic philosophies of imperfection and natural beauty.
