Digitakt ii 1.10 update released
Elektron has released OS version 1.10 for Digitakt II, bringing a range of new features, workflow improvements, and bug fixes. This update aligns Digitakt II more closely with its sibling, Digitone II, as both devices now share several key features. Users can update now via Elektron’s website to access the full set of enhancements.
New filter, mono sampling, and routing options
One of the most notable additions is the inclusion of the Comb+ filter, previously found on Digitone II. This filter provides a new timbral option, useful for adding resonant and metallic textures. Also returning by popular demand is mono sampling, giving users a choice between mono and stereo when capturing new sounds. Another welcome feature is routable distortion and the base-width filter, which can now be placed before or after other filter types depending on the desired sound design.
Keytrack modulation adds more control
Digitakt II also gains a keytrack modulation feature, inherited from Digitone II. This allows up to four destination parameters to be modulated based on keyboard position, offering more dynamic control over sound shaping. While the Digitakt’s synthesis engine remains sample-based, these modulation additions bring more performance flexibility.
Shared features improve workflow
Across both machines, several shared features have been introduced. These include Track Swap for reorganizing patterns, live record overdub to add notes without overwriting, and an option to apply parameter lock edits only to active trigs. Smaller touches like a shortcut to toggle the metronome and new track select behaviors are designed to improve general workflow and usability.
Bug fixes and performance improvements
A few highlights from the improvements and bug fixes list include:
Reduced GUI lag when using MIDI tracks
Fixed an issue where note values could become stuck in certain situations
Improved performance when loading large projects
Adjusted velocity-to-volume curve for smoother dynamics
Minor visual and stability improvements throughout the interface
The full 1.10 update is available for download now. Overbridge users should also update to version 2.18 to ensure compatibility. For more details and a complete breakdown of changes, Elektron’s official release notes and video guides are available on their website.
