Telekom Electronic Beats TV has published a One To Watch episode on Leona Jacewska, the Berlin-based Polish artist, filmed around the hardware she writes and performs with.
The channel describes Jacewska, who previously recorded as Charlie, as working in EBM, synthwave and early 1980s Italo, set against her own vocals. It points to her classical piano training and her years DJing in Kraków and Berlin.
The episode covers her writing and performing, and, in the channel's words, “the interaction between different pieces of hardware, and why working outside the computer continues to play such an important role in her creative process.” The description thanks Colin and Barbara Fraser of Sequentix, which builds the Cirklon sequencer.
Matrixsynth, which reposted the video on 8 September, files it under Sequentix, Sequential, Oberheim, Yamaha, Analogue Solutions and Pearl.
