Seattle’s duo Flesh Produce unleash their new single, “ZAPZAP” off their upcoming record HYPER CHASM -  a titillating, spastic track that feels equally volatile and mesmerizing. The ADHD-style production is a concoction of chaos that leaves the listener hyper-stimulated. Within two and half mins, a barrage of sensory overload generates real-time anxiety as the classic punk beats, piercing synth-stabs, and glitchy ‘90s rave elements collide to create relentless momentum. Designed in angular fashion, producer Karl Fagerstrom and Myla Profitt channel confusion directly into the composition, using the music to reflect the uncertainty and bewilderment of modern times - the psy-op inside of the psy-op.

ZAPZAP is vividly colorful, using sound to map the neurosis of the human condition. Profitt’s futuristic vocals unveil the matrix-esque inner world, where reality and the simulation begin to blur. Meanwhile, Fagerstorm’s pounding drums inject paranoia into the track with instinctive impulsivity - creating friction that mutates into tension. The duo intentionally overwhelm their listeners, mirroring the psychological instability embedded within the song’s concept as they display their anxious view of our common world. is intentional and overwhelming. When you're in psychosis, it can feel like you’re finally awake. And when you come back down from the mania, it's hard to shake the feeling that you might be asleep again. “

The chemistry between the duo feels boundless and full of imagination. For Flesh Produce, the only true standard is remaining  unapologetically themselves.
