Ian Boddy and Scanner release Juxtapositions on DiN

Ian Boddy and Robin Rimbaud, who records as Scanner, released Juxtapositions on 4 September 2026. The album carries the catalogue number DiN97 on Boddy's DiN label and runs to nine tracks.

The record opens with Exclusion Zone and closes with A Fleeting Glimpse, with each piece running between roughly four and a half and six and a half minutes. DiN says the nine tracks “gently oscillate between hypnotic cycling patterns and nebulous, ambient soundscapes”. Boddy mixed and mastered the album in January 2026 and Wendy Gibson Boddy made the artwork.

Rimbaud has released two solo albums on DiN before this one, An Ascent (DiN63) and The Homeland of Electricity (DiN72). The two musicians played together at the Subliminal Impulse festival in Manchester in 2022. DiN says the concert was well received but that the pair did not take the collaboration further at the time. Boddy runs the label.
