Loraine James released a new album, It's Nothing Personal., on 4 September without announcing it first. She put it out herself rather than through a label, and posted it to Instagram the same day with the line "Free Download. Only on Bandcamp."

The digital version is name your price and the release landed on a Bandcamp Friday. A CD edition of 100 copies is also available at £9.99.

There are nine tracks, among them Back 2 Skool Riddim, 6 Button Tekken Combo and I'm Loraine James. James wrote, produced and mixed all of them. Joshua Eustis mastered the album and Patch D Keyes made the artwork.

It follows Detached From The Rest Of You, which James released earlier in 2026 with guests including Tirzah, Alan Sparhawk and Miho Hatori. Writing at CDM, Peter Kirn described the production as "clear and intense" and singled out Catch This and Back 2 Skool Riddim.
