LukHash has opened pre-orders for Neon Airlines, an album that ships on 6 November with SID Synth, software that turns a Commodore 64 into a playable live instrument. The synthesizer comes as a bonus download for Bandcamp buyers and is not sold separately.

SID Synth version 1.0 runs on original Commodore 64 hardware and on the C64 Ultimate. It offers eight waveforms across the SID chip's three voices, four core shapes and four combined, with an ADSR envelope that supports hard-restart retriggering, a multimode filter, PWM with adjustable rate and depth, vibrato, portamento, tremolo, and switchable ring modulation and hard sync. A second SID chip raises the voice count to six and adds stereo output.

Seven voice modes run from full polyphony to arpeggiator patterns. The software stores 54 instruments in a bank that can be saved to and loaded from disk, and a "Live Lock" setting blocks patch changes during a performance. MIDI input covers assignable CC control, program change for hands-free patch switching, clock sync and tap tempo. LukHash also lists twelve reactive visualizers and automatic PAL and NTSC tuning.

Neon Airlines runs to 11 tracks and is priced at £7 or more on Bandcamp. LukHash describes it as blending "chiptune, synthwave, and other modern electronic styles". The download also includes an Amiga MOD version of the track "Patch It!", made on original Amiga hardware. LukHash wrote, produced and mastered the album; the artwork is by AbueloRetroWave.
