Moog releases Muse synth firmware v1.4 with expanded modulation and enhanced MIDI integration


Moog Music has just announced firmware v1.4 for their popular Muse synthesizer, significantly expanding its creative capabilities. The free update introduces robust new modulation options and critical performance enhancements tailored to experimental sound designers.

Expanded modulation
Firmware v1.4 includes six new global modulation sources, consisting of two global LFOs, two global envelopes, and two global random trigger sources. Additionally, 23 fresh modulation destinations have been added, enabling extensive sonic manipulation, especially within Muse's Diffusion Delay.
Enhanced MIDI performance
The update also enhances MIDI integration significantly, now offering full sync functionality and configurable program changes. Users can expect smoother performances and increased flexibility during live sets and studio sessions.
Additional improvements and presets
Moog has addressed various bugs, improving the overall stability and reliability of the Muse. To help users quickly explore the new features, the update also includes 64 brand-new presets.
