electric.kitchen is an electronic music project focusing on timbre and rhythm. Most works are conceived for live improvisational performance, aiming to take the audience on a journey rather than stick to a genre.
Project leader Mark Lentczner works with a wide range of electronics from analog synths, to digital samplers, controllers, and computers with his own software. Co-founder Paul Buser will return to the project for the Summer 2019 tour bringing his fusion of harmonic and timbral ideas on keyboard.
Collaboration and improvisation is a large part of the project's work. Musicians with drones, keyboards, processed vocals, bass robots, and Tesla coils have all been part of prior works. The project's most recent album, Onset, features four live performances that are inter-linked into its Infinite Set. Current live performances continue that journey...
